Christians who sit under sound doctrine respond by living self controlled lives that adorn God's saving work.

It is the gospel alone that produces regeneration and enables holy living.

Elders must silence and rebuke false teachers who teach false doctrine for their own gain.

Holding fast to sound doctrine, while protecting it, preaching it and reminding God's people of it, will produce godliness in the lives of God's people.

Elders are to lead the church into holiness, through proven character, and by conviction.

Unity in the church is a result of preaching the Word, shepherding towards good deeds and dealing directly with the divisive.
